About Me
I have worked in the mental health field since 2008, supporting people through some of life’s most complex and difficult experiences. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working with trauma, personality disorders, substance use, mood disorders, anxiety, relationship patterns, and major life transitions.
I specialize in trauma therapy and am trained in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These approaches allow us to move beyond simply talking about what happened. Together, we can understand the patterns that developed in response to your experiences, reduce the emotional charge of the past, and help the parts of you that have been carrying pain finally feel supported.
What I love most about being a therapist is witnessing the internal shifts that begin to change a person’s life. Sometimes that shift is finally understanding why you respond the way you do. Sometimes it is setting a boundary without guilt, feeling calmer in your body, trusting yourself again, or realizing that the past no longer has the same hold over you. These moments may begin quietly, but they can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
My style is warm, genuine, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood without judgment, and supported in creating a life that feels more like your own. I do not believe in rejecting the parts of ourselves that struggle. Instead, I help clients become curious about those parts, understand what they have been protecting, and develop healthier ways to move forward.
Outside of my work, I share life with Ike, my toy poodle, who brings plenty of personality and joy to my days. I enjoy traveling, spending time in nature, writing, and bringing creative ideas to life. I am usually working on some kind of project—whether it is a craft, a home DIY project, or something new I have imagined and decided to create.
I believe growth does not mean becoming an entirely different person. Often, it means finding your way back to yourself—with greater understanding, freedom, and confidence in the life you are creating.
